Amanda Rae earned her BFA in theatre from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and has been acting and performing for over 25 years. Recent roles in Theatre Unleashed productions include The Woman in The Woman in Black, “hippie-turned-weresquirrel” Mandy in the original soap opera comedy series Camp Ragnarok, and Curley’s Wife in Of Mice and Men. Since moving to LA, Amanda Rae also sang and danced as Livia in two productions of The Sam and Tony Show’s Annabella, and as Threatty Betty in Robot Teammate & The Accidental Party’s Thug Tunnel. Recent film and television credits include Lois Lane in The Death of ‘Superman Lives’: What Happened? and Hamish Girl in Comedy Central’s Another Period. When not on stage or in front of the camera, Amanda Rae can be found writing, dancing in the studio, doing stand-up comedy, creating recipes and cooking, or helping to spiritually heal others. She also produces and co-hosts a feminist comedy podcast called The Vagenda, and has produced and recorded two albums under the stage name, Maxine River.
