After studying at HB Studios and pounding the pavement in New York, Richard couldn’t resist the pull of the film and television industry in Los Angeles.  His first acting job in Hollywood was as a singing horse on the TV show Madame’s Place (he asserts that he played the front of the horse).  Richard appeared in the film Commando (that’s the top of his head next to Bill Paxton) and in several TV shows, such as Dallas, Days of our Lives, Capitol and Santa Barbara.  Returning to the stage after a long hiatus (it’s a long story), he appeared in Golden Boy at the Stella Adler Theatre, It’s a Wonderful Life – the Radio Play with Theatre Unleashed, A Ferry Tale with Towne Street Theatre (at the Stella Adler Theatre), Amanda the Barbarian at The DorieTheatre (LA Fringe Festival) and Taboo at The Actors Workout Studio.  He also performed with several improvisational theatre companies in NY and LA.
