A Very DIE HARD Christmas

I laughed, I cried - then I pulled myself together and went in to enjoy the play. In the grand tradition of "Hellzapoppin," there's a lot of zany antics as we follow the story of "Die Hard" from the perspective of a Christmas tale. Tim Meinelschmidt as Hans Gruber is a particular standout, but the entire cast deserves a salute for the difficult task of making a terrorist takeover into a fun and warm evening. Lunacy rules the day in this subversive Christmas twist on Die Hard, a rip-roaring romp stuffed with cheesy special effects, pop culture zingers, fractured holiday tunes and bumbling terrorists. Tim Meinelschmidt as Hans Gruber is golden. His screwball revamp of Baby It’s Cold Outside with Will Brandt alone is worth the price of admission. Did I mention the Jimmy Stewart cameo?... full review
